According to BBC weather - forecast looks good!!!!!
For once the weather looked set fair for the whole day and this turned out to be the case. The Birmingham chaps and partners met up for a couple of liveners in the O.C's before catching the train down to Sim's.
After another quick tipple we lobbed off to the park for the usual game of cricket. The usual mixed team rule was applied where possible and we all took it in turns to bat and ball for two overs. This was broken up by the half time interval to refresh the lagging players. The game concluded with Phil and Chap being the eventual winners with a faultless batting display amassing a grand total of 12 runs to secure the victory.
We then lobbed back to Sim & Di's for the after cricket BBQ. The usual fine fayre was provided by our hosts, expertly cooked by Marco Pierre 'Chap' and washed down with copious quantities of ale, wine & sprits ( not forgetting lemonade for the children!!). A good time was had by all as can be seen here - pic 1, pic 2, pic 3. Finally with most of people knackered from the cricket it was time to catch the train back to Brum.
Arriving back at Snow Hill, Chap, Jan, Phil, Tone and Jo decided for a night cap at Edmunds to end what had been an excellent day.
